Supporting Membership:
These are members who pay annual dues to help support the operation of our club and are the lifeblood of our group (currently $30 for an introductory/charter membership). As a benefit of supporting our club, these members receive a discounted Group Fee for most events and are able to attend some events that are for Supporting Members only such as the Free Advance Screening Movies. Sustaining Membership:
This is a new membership category. These are members who want to give extra support to the operation of our club above the Supporting Level. In addition to the benefits of the Supporting Level, Sustaining members receive a one-year subscription to Outside (a $10 value), America’s leading active lifestyle magazine.

Every month Outside brings you its award-winning take on the world outside – adrenalin-inducing sports, adventure travel, environmental issues, best towns to live in, best jobs, our no-nonsense gear reviews, and book excerpts from renowned adventure-lit authors such as Jon Krakauer and Hampton Sides. (If you do not wish to receive Outside, you are entitled to a refund for the stated value of the magazine subscription. Click here for details.)

IMPORTANT NOTE: To ensure proper delivery of your eNewsletters, please add our domain, hotlantaadventures.org, to your white/approved sender list/address book in your spam/bulk email filtering software (Barracuda, Norton, McAfee, etc.) or with your web based service (AOL, EarthLink, Gmail, Hotmail, Spam Arrest, Yahoo, etc.). If your server (EarthLink, Spam Arrest, etc.) sends automated replies, our volunteers do not have time with over 900 members to log into individual online forms to be added to your approved list.

PAYMENT METHODS

This is also used for activities that require a payment or deposit before the event.

Online Bill Pay (preferred method):

If you use your bank, credit union, or brokerage house's Online Bill Pay service (usually free), it more than likely is processed by CheckFree or Princeton eCom which will send your payment to us electronically eliminating delays from paper transactions. This will allow you to post a payment to us the next business day. Let us know in your RSVP or other email that you are sending your payment through your e-bill service.

Setting up your Bill Pay service: use your Hotlanta Adventures Member Number as your account number. The first time you enter our contact information (Hotlanta Adventures, PO Box 14304, Atlanta, GA 30324-1304, phone: 404-688-3667), you may need close out of the Bill Pay system then go back in for it to update Hotlanta Adventures as a electronic/next business day payment recipient.

CheckFree processes the Online Bill Payments for financial institutions such as Bank of America, BB&T, CDC Federal Credit Union, Charles Schwab, Delta Employees Credit Union, Edward Jones, Georgia Telco Credit Union, IronStone Bank, RBC Centura, Regions Bank, SunTrust, TD Waterhouse, Wachovia, Washington Mutual, and many others in addition to those processed through Princeton eCom.

This not only drastically reduces the administration involved in processing event payments but also helps the environment by eliminating paper checks/deposit tickets, transportation and energy reduction in the mail, banks & Federal Reserve systems, additional trips to the Post Office to check mail, and trips to the bank to make deposits.

Due to our bank charging us for checks/payments that are returned, returned checks (NSF, closed acct., etc.) are subject to a service charge of up to $25 or 5% whichever is greater. Returned checks/payments cancels your reservation.

Credit Card Payments:

For your convenience, if you would like to pay by credit card, you can pay through Google Checkout. Payments through Google Checkout will be charged an convenience fee to cover their processing costs. Please follow the instructions below to add your Membership Number to your transaction so that we can apply your payment to your reservation.

Google Checkout:
At the "Review and place order" page, go to "Ship to" and click "Change" then select "Add a new address" then enter your information but on the "Address line 2" enter: Member Number XXXX [enter your number].

If you have set up a Hotlanta Adventures "Ship to" address previously, at the "Review and place order" page, go to "Ship to" and click "Change" then select "Choose a different address" and select your Hotlanta Adventures ship to address that includes your Membership Number.

Checks:
If you do not have Online Bill Pay, you can send a paper check for your membership upgrade to the address below. Please include your Member Number on your check. (Please note: We do not accept paper checks for event payments.)
